People are surprised when I tell them that graphic design was not my first choice when starting college; it was radiologic technology. I changed my major to graphic design because I enjoyed making posters in prior school projects. I gave it a try and I’m sure glad I did. I have acquired a great deal of knowledge and skills that I now use to create successful designs that I take pride in. I accomplished this by being present, active listening, and observing the work of my peers. The thing I love about my work is that I am able to communicate a message to the viewer, whatever the topic may be. I find my work to be fun, challenging, satisfying, and rewarding when looking at the design process from start to finish.
The pandemic inspired me to stay busy designing, adding to my credentials a top-selling t-shirt, poster series, as well as video projects for my YouTube channel.
I’m currently searching for a full-time position with either a design firm or a local business that focuses on layout, branding, or promotional design.
