At my house growing up, there was a couch that my twin brothers had drawn on, in sharpie. Ten and half years later, I decided to finish that drawing, in sharpie. My mischievousness at 4 years old snowballed into a passion for painting, drawing, and eventually graphic design.
I started designing layouts for the News Magazine staff at my high school. Four years later, I have worked my way through an intense design program where I built skills in design thinking, process, and completed many projects. I work to find a balance between my passion for fine art and design. My professors and peers know that I particularly love to paint and use the app Procreate to generate illustrations in some of my pieces. During my time at La Roche, I have become involved in many ways on campus including taking on a Resident Assistant role and was the president of the Resident Student Organization for two years.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was given the opportunity to take a double internship where I built real-world skills and professional relationships that have lasted. The experiences I’ve had in class and at my internship have left me excited to graduate and join the graphic design working community. I’m excited for a full-time position where I would excel at publication, branding, and web design.
