Terese Jungle, Assistant Professor in our Graphic Design Department, is the Featured Artist of The Mattress Factory Museum Shop for the month of January, 2019.
Professor Jungle has been a contributing artist there since 2014 and taught a related Special Topics course at La Roche last Spring called The Design Entrepreneur. Students in the class used their skills to create design products that they sold in a pop-up market, earning $450 collectively during a 3-hour show.
At her own show, proceeds from any items purchased in January benefit the maker, the museum, and The Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.
Items available include hand-made and digital prints, T-shirts, and her book Chicken: A Comic Cat Memoir.
