The arts have always been my place to call home. My spark happened as a young musician when I started to see how the design world and music were connected. I became interested in composition and balance of space first through hands-on expressions of art like pottery, then later through exploring more mediums like photography, photoshop, illustrator, and screen-printing.
My second spark came as I discovered Graphic Design. Learning the design process is a perfect match for how I like to work; combining my hands-on explorations with computer aided tools and iterative thinking. I hope to find a career that will challenge me to use both my analytical digital skills as well as hands-on design skills often.
Outside of design, I’m probably in one of few places; my studio Youngstone, soldering & photographing jewelry, in the woods hiking around with my pup, or my car travelling around to get new inspiration!
Some things I like – Branding Design, Typography, Hand-Lettering, Nature, Live Music, Thrift-Shopping, DIYs, and meeting new people.
