I am an innovative problem solver and storyteller with a passion for design. My creative nature is owed in large part to my parents and siblings who, in my childhood, exposed me to much of the same design aesthetic that I continue to draw inspiration from to this very day. Everything from watching Back to the Future with my Dad, skimming through a Michael Jackson-centric issue of People magazine with my Mom, and even playing Mario Kart: Double Dash on the Nintendo Gamecube with my sisters. All of it influenced me to push forward down the path I find myself on today. It was during my sophomore year of college that I found myself truly in love with the field. One project, in particular, the Journey project, provided me the opportunity to engage with systematic design. Throughout this project, I honed my skills as an analytical thinker and developed a narrative that I then utilized to create a harmonious and unified system of design.
What I find most exciting about this career path is the function of design; when you can solve a problem and simultaneously tell a story that draws in and engages your audience. Print and digital work such as posters, postcards, signage, and packaging are my favorite kinds of projects to undertake. Aside from design, I am an avid video game and film connoisseur. I love reading, photography, drawing, chocolate-covered pretzels, and my cat named Jewelz.
