This Spring, the La Roche College Design Division will take students on a journey through Morocco and Southern Spain. The course, titled “Advanced Ideas Seminar in Interior Design: Morocco & Southern Spain,” will be taught by Dr. Nicole Bieak Kreidler. Students will be exposed to history, language, religion, cuisine, art, design and architecture. The experience is intended to provide students opportunities for travel and exploration, and to gain an appreciation for other cultures.
The journey will begin in the Moroccan city of Casablanca and move on to Rabat, Fes and Tanger. Once students reach the city of Tangier they will take a high speed ferry to Algeciras in Spain. Students will then travel to Cordoba, Granada and Torremolinos.
This study abroad experience is being offered in conjunction with a course offered by the Sociology department of La Roche, titled “Discover Andalusian-Islamic Cultural Heritage: Morocco & Southern Spain,” taught by Dr. Azlan Tajuddin, Chair of the Sociology Department.
