La Roche Graphic Design Student Olivia Healy’s photograph of a Cuban fortune teller has been selected as a finalist in Photographer’s FORUM 37th Annual Photo Contest. Olivia’s photograph has been selected out of 13,000 student photographs and will be published in the hardcover book Best of College & High School Photography 2017. Ms. Healy’s photograph was taken while on a La Roche College Study Abroad + Study USA trip to Cuba last March, 2016. The trip to Cuba directed students to better understand Cuban life and culture through the combination of short interviews and photo documentation. The culminating work was featured in an exhibit at La Roche’s Cantellop’s Gallery titled This is Cuba.
