Hello! My name is Olivia MacDonald and I am a graphic designer and creator. Art has always played an important role in my life; growing up with parents who are also graphic designers, an appreciation for art was instilled in me at an early age. When I was little, I always looked forward to Art Class at school, and as I grew into high school, my knowledge and appreciation of graphic design grew with me. As a senior in high school, I was the Editor-in-Chief of my school’s yearbook staff, teaching and guiding my classmates on design programs, process, and more. Being in that leadership position really formed my strong work ethic and led me to pursue graphic design as a career. As I grew into the graphic design field, I found that my passion lies heavily in typography (with additional love for publication design, advertising design, branding, and more!).
Though I’ve faced some setbacks throughout my college career (including a previous school closure), they have ultimately pushed me forward and strengthened my work ethic in ways I could have only imagined. I’m now graduating as a stronger designer, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
In my free time, you can find me hand-lettering (and obsessing over a newly discovered typographer), curling up with a good book, or volunteering at my local animal shelter with adoptable bunnies.
