Portia was born and raised in Pittsburgh. Her mother loved to read plays and Shakespeare, so she named her Portia from the Merchant of Venice. She grow up in a loving and spiritual family . Her love of interior design started at a young age. Her parents gave her free rein to design her own bedroom, that’s when she fell in love with design. She wanted to attend the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Interior Design but her parents thought that it wasn’t a true career path, only a hobby. So they pushed her to become an Accountant. She attended Carlow College an obtain a Bachelor degree in Accountant and Business Management. She worked in the field of accounting for over 20yrs until 2015. She decided to quit her job and go after her dream of becoming an Interior Designer. Accounting was never a good fit for her outgoing, adventurous personality.
Portia has many hobbies, she loves travelling, dancing, biking, sewing, cooking, and reading. She also enjoys spending quality time with her three children.
